Baby Lyle's Nursery

The nursery is finally complete and I am so excited with the way it turned out!! We started with the book Lyle, Lyle Crocodile by Bernard Weber as inspiration. We don't know the gender of our little one, so green and yellow were ideal for the nursery colors and matched the book cover perfectly.

My dad loves to do wood work and made furniture to match the crib we picked out. I love the custom changing table that has a tray built in for the changing pad and a little cubby next to it for diapers, wipes, etc...so practical! Then when we are done with the changing table the top comes off and it is a normal dresser.

The sign above the changing table was painted by my sister-in-law Ashley! It is the perfect verse for our Baby Lyle and really ties the theme together in the room.
"For this child I prayed and the Lord answered my prayers." 1 Samuel 1:27

For added storage and decoration my dad made a hutch. I found so many cute ideas on pinterest, but the alphabet art is the only one that I actually completed for the nursery.

Baby Lyle is truly loved already, everything in the room was hand-crafted or put together with love. The curtains and bedding were made by me (with LOTS of help from my mom), my in-laws blessed us with a very comfy glider (can't wait to snuggle with Baby!) and James spent countless hours assembling and hanging everything up. We cannot wait to add the finishing touch...Baby Lyle!!!!
