Honeymoon is over...

Jamaica was a BLAST and we were so sad to leave the beautiful island behind.  Reality of being back home set in rather too quickly as I got a cold the day we flew back (that has lasted 6 days and counting)!  Being with the one you love...your spouse...for seven uniterrupted days is one of the best feelings ever!  Together we experienced a new culture, new food and new adventures (pictures to come, I promise) and really got to know one another.  James is quite the comedian...greatest quote of the week, while walking to dinner on the resort  he says "hey it is like all these people are on vacation" - obviously they all WERE on vacation :-)  I learned that night owls and early birds have to do some compromising in order for schedules to work out...thanks for staying up to watch the Jamacian Fashion Show with me babe!  Also, hot tea on our ocean front 3rd story balcony is not a bad sight at 7:00am!

Now that we are back in Virginia it seems like a distant memory...but a great one at that!!  We are excited to share pictures with everyone, but haven't had time (or felt like it) yet. So, be on the look out very soon...hopefully wedding pictures will be up here soon also!

Husband and Wife

The planning, preparation, chaos and partying is all over.  At times it was stressful and felt never-ending, but here I am typing on my computer, in the apartment I live in with James (my HUSBAND).  People ask how is married life? And I am not exactly sure how to answer that...it has only been 6 days.  I still feel like I am living a dream and that I am on vacation (maybe because I am living out of a suitcase and will be back in Colorado in a few weeks), but if this is how married life is supposed to be then I am going to be living the dream for the next 95+ years!!

The wedding was absolutely amazing and went off without a hitch...sorry no disaster stories to tell here.  It felt good to see all the planning finally come together into one beautiful event! Unfortunately I don't have many pictures to share yet, but when I do I will post them.

James and I stayed in Colorado for the weekend so that we could hang out with our families and friends before I moved/James returned to VA.  I have visited Hampton several times and loved all that there was to do.  Now that I am living here and am learning what the true meaning of "humidity" is...my hair is saying 'yuck!'  The matchmaker who set James and I up on our blind date last August in staying for the summer with her husband who is currently stationed in VA as well, so the company has been nice and comforting.  I love the feeling of cleaning and cooking while James is at work and greeting him at the door when he gets home!!

I am married...James is my HUSBAND and I am his WIFE...what more could I ask for in life?!?!

24 days...

So, I started the blog before we are officially Mr. and Mrs. Lyle... 24 days too early (but who is counting).  The days seem to be dragging on until the BIG day even though there is so much to do...packing, moving, cleaning, last minute wedding details (but again who is keeping track).  Instead I choose to create a blog :-)  When we started this journey the countdown was just over 200 days and I thought the time would never come, now I am sitting amongst boxes and wedding stuff because the time has come so quickly!!  James has been the love of my life since we met on August 15, 2010 and now I get to marry him in 24 days!!

13 days after we met...we knew we would be together forever!
