Nathan is 1 month old!!
We haven't had an official doctor's appointment, but at the Lactation Consultant he weighed 9lbs 13oz (50th percentile).

Eating: He loves to eat (then again what boy doesn't!). We are exclusively breastfeeding, but I pump so that James can feed him each night...such a great bonding experience! He takes about 5oz. There is the possibility that he is allergic to cows milk so I am on a strict no milk diet (very challenging for me, but worth it for my little boy to feel good!!)
Sleeping: Right around the 1 month mark we switched him from the pack'n play in our room to his crib in the nursery...he did great!! He has some what of a night schedule: 9-2am, 2:30-5:30am, 7:30-9:30am. Naps are still a little iffy, he sleeps during the day but usually in his swing or snuggled up in our arms.
Playing: Nathan has grown so much in his ability to play. He loves to lay on his play mat and kick his dragon fly, stares into the mirror and cries when the music turns off. He has a great grip and will "accidently" grab a toy and hold onto it. Tummy time is short lived, but Sophie the Giraffe keeps him going, as does his crocodile on wheels. Looking out the window is probably his favorite form of entertainment. In fact, if he is having a major melt down we take him outside and he calms down pretty quickly.
1 month memories:
- he enjoys bath time
- loves car rides
- does great in the stroller
- snuggles up in a ball on anyone's chest to sleep
- smiles at his crocodile poster when getting his diaper changed...oh, very sensitive to a dirty diaper :-)
- talks when he gets excited
| "Wow, I have been free for 1 month!!" |
